Earlier this term we visited the Yorkshire Sculpture Park to get inspiration for making our own artwork as part of the outcome for our topic on the Ancient Romans, as the Romans were very fond of sculpting statues of their emperors and gods.

This week the children have designed a head (and in some cases a body too!) of a person who is important, influential or powerful for them. They have chosen family members, historical figures, musicians and England footballers!

The children have then made their sculptures out of clay. Here are some examples of the fantastic results they achieved!
